Using 2:7 and 3:2, the LCM is 45
The total number of pages = 45 units.
On Monday -
Read vs unread
18 vs 35
On Tuesday -
Read vs unread
27 vs 18
This means he read 27-18 units on Tuesday = 9 units.
On Wednesday, he finished the book, meaning he finished the 18 units that were incompleted from Tuesday.
Since he read 18 units on Wed and 9 units on Tuesday, 57 pages = 18-9 = 9units.
==> 45 units = 57*5=285

2:7 means 9 units.
3:2 means 5 units.
I want the units to be the same for both. So find the LCM.
What is the lowest number of units I require so that I can have the same unit Base?
I used 9x5

Total distance:
10T1 = 8T2
5T1 = 4T2 --- equation 1
T1 + T2 = 6/5
5T1 + 5T2 = 6 --- equation 2
Substitute 1 into 2.
4T2 + 5T2 = 6
1T2 = 6/9 h
= 2/3 h
= 40min.
T1 -> home to park
T2 -> park to home

Ratio of time for 1st to 2nd journey is 4:5 when distance is constant. .. thus 72 min divide by 9 units is 8 min x 5 = 40 min. .
