Pardon my ignorance, but is "Algebraic Expansion" such as
a.(b +c) = ab + bc
in the P6 Math syllabus?
On another hand,
I had to teach my kids Simultaneous Equations & rid them of the time-consuming and tedious "Guess and Check", and Braincell-burning "Model Drawing" methods, whenever the paper setter sets Problem Sums with at least 2 unknowns.
When I ask the kids how their teachers teach them to draw models to solve for 2 unknowns, guess what?
Teachers had to use Simultaneous Eqns to solve for 2 unknowns, then SOMEHOW work backwards to draw the weird-looking models.
I suggest parents have a "heart to heart, deep and insightful" discussion with the primary math curriculum planning division in MOE HQ.

To help you SR=QR (it's a square)
SR=TR (equilateral triangle)
So QR=TR which makes TRQ an isosceles triangle.
You should be able to solve le.
