Payment for every cooking pot sold = $5 Total payment for every group of 8 pots sold = $5 x 8 + $20 = $60 Maximum groups of 8 pots sold = $500 / $60 = 8.3 = 8 groups (round down to nearest whole number) 8 x $60 = $480 $500 - $480 = $20 Number of pots sold apart from groups of 8 pots = $20 / $5 = 4 Total number of pots sold = 8 x 8 + 4 = 64 + 4 = 68 pots
