For the second problem, draw the model showing a bag and a clock. Then stack up the model for 6 bags and 4 clocks. Try drawing the model and we will help you from where you are not able to proceed.
OR splitting 25 into 2.5 x 10, so
25 x 4.8 + 152 x 2.5
= 2.5 x 10 x 4.8 + 152 x 2.5
= 2.5 x 48 + 152 x 2.5
= (48 groups of 2.5) + (152 groups of 2.5)
= 200 groups of 2.5
= 500
Shu Hao's method works fine too. See which one's great for your child.

25 x 4.8 + 152 x 2.5
= 25 x 4.8 + 25 x 15.2
= 25 x (4.8+15.2)
= 25 x 20
= 500
This methodology always tested in primary school exam papers.

Looking at the working in the photo, your child was planning to rewrite the sum as 25 x 4.8 + 15.2 x 25, which is a good strategy. The next step could be 25 x (4.8 + 15.2) = 25 x 20 = 500. If he/she doesn't understand this, use examples such as 2 x 3 + 8 x 3 = 10 x 3.
