Sorry, I don't really understand your question.

Since 24% were potatos, this is the split
1,296.00 potatoes 24%
4,104.00 carrots 76%
5,400.00
Subsequently potatoes were increased to 52%
? potatoes 52%
4104 carrots 48%
?
=> 4104/48*52 = 4446
There are now 4446 g of potatoes.
Potatoes increased by 4446-1296 = 3150g
Carrots remain the same at 4104 g.
40% unsold = 40% *4104 = 1641.6 g unsold

*Put in units yourself please*
Volume in P = 60 x 32
= 1920
For every 1cm of water level in Q, there will be 2cm of water level in P. Let this total amount of water be 1 unit. Then in 1 unit,
Volume of water in 1 unit = 60x2 + 40x1
= 120 + 40
= 160
Number of units = 1920/160
= 12
Water level in P = 12 x 2cm
= 24cm

Part (b):
If height in P is 2h and height in Q is h, ratio of their volumes = 60*2h : 40*h
= 3 : 1
1 unit of volume
= 1920/4
= 480
Volume in P
= 480*3=1440
Height in P
= 1440/60
= 24 cm

Suppose he paid all 9 notes in $10, he would have paid $90. The extra paid = 90-75=$15. Difference between the notes = $10-$5=$5. Extra paid divided by the difference between the notes (which is number that should be changed to $5 notes) = $15/$5= 3. It means that there are 3 $5 notes and 6 $10 notes.

Depending on the student's level .... Guess n chk may be easier
7x$10 1×$5 8 notes
6x$10 3×$5 9 notes

Vei Li, what is the name of the method you use ?

Supposition. Younger students may use guess-and-check. Once they have sufficient experience with guess-and-check, you can move them to these types of method.
