That's correct :). Going one step further, you can also work backwards to check if your answer is correct: 8.10x4=32.40. JY has 32.40+3.60=$36. $36/3 = $12. Being able to check your answer is as important as getting the answer because in the exam or a test, your have no one else to check it for you.
