For Q3, the unshaded part is the area of the whole figure - area of the shaded part. The shaded part (kite shape) can be divided into triangles in many ways but the easiest way to work out the area is to divide the kite into two equal triangles by drawing a vertical line down the middle. Then use the dimension given (12 cm) to work out the height and base of one triangle and then the area. Try and see if you can it out from here. Let me know if you need more help :)

Actually my name is Jadyn . The photo on the fb is my mom sorry to trouble you
We know that the area of a triangle is half of the base x height, which also means that the base x height gives us twice of the area of a triangle. So, for Q3, we would: (1) convert the height to cm (10 cm) (2) double the area of triangle (90 cm2) (3) ask 10 times what number gives 45 or what is 45/10? The answer is 4.5 cm.

The answer for Q2 is incorrect because all units must be the same. In this case, we convert to cm: 0.5 m = 50 cm (1 m = 100 cm). So half of 50x25 will not be 6.25cm2 but 625 cm2. Try the other 2 and see if you can work it out.
