Sarah : 22U=18P -> P=11U/9 Johari : 12U+21=10P+15 -> 108U+189=110U+135 -> 2U=54 -> U=27 Sarah : 22x27=594 Johari: 12x27+21=345

Kim Soon, what is P= ?

Kim Soon Chin

You just need to calculate either P or U. Any way, P = 11x27/9=33 When substitute back, you will get the same answer. Sarah : 18x33=594 Johari: 10x33+15=345

ok pls advise why 22U=18P?

Sarah spent $22 each day for U days to finish her money. If she spent $18 each day, she needs P days to finish her money. 22xU=18xP=total money Sarah has.
