Since Daniel had $144 more than Ryan at first, you would just need another $198 to make $342 which to be transferred to Ryan.

Well, I thought I did. I can see how Daniel gave $144 and$198 , a total of $342. so now Ryan has his original amount , $144 and $198 ie $342. So how do you get the right hand $342 bar?

342 was transferred from Daniel to Ryan.
