Let a be number of adults, c be number of children, m be number of men and w be number of women; a = m+w ; m = 1/2w, so a = 3/2w; a/c=5/2; so 3/2w/c =5/2; simplifying we get w/c =5/2×2/3; so w/c=5/3 and ratio of number of women to number of children is 5:3
